Putnam County Young Republicans Club Introduces New Executive Board

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – The Putnam County Young Republican Club recently gathered to install its new executive board.

According to a statement from the group, its newly elected officers include Nick Fannin as president, Marykate Acquisto as vice president, Tara Keegan as secretary and Sarah Greene as treasurer.

While welcoming its new leadership, the club thanked its former leaders, including past President John Greene, for their “hard work and dedication,” according to the group.

According to the statement, Greene ably led the club, which was formed in 2009 and has supported numerous Republican candidates in the years since. The group also has participated in various community projects, according to the statement.

Looking to become more involved in the community and local government, Fannin joined the club in 2013, according to the statement, which said that he previously served as the club’s secretary and vice president.

Fannin also is a member of the Carmel Republican Committee and is the vice chairman of the Environmental Conservation Board in Carmel.

Acquisto is also a member of the Carmel Republican Committee, according to the statement, which said that she previously worked for the New York State Assembly Minority and now works for the New York State Senate.

Keegan has served as an intern for the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office and as an intern for the 94th Assembly District, where eventually rose through the ranks to become legislative aide, district office manager and chief of staff. Currently, she works for a law firm in Hopewell Junction.

Sarah Greene has been an involved member of the Putnam County Young Republican Club since its founding in 2009, the club said. She currently works at the Putnam County Board of Elections.

According to the statement, one of the club’s main goals in the coming year is to expand its membership.

According to the group, the Putnam County Young Republicans will be hosting events and launching social media campaigns to recruit new members throughout 2017.
